Darwin Fringe Festival 2026

Darwin Fringe Festival

Join us from 17 - 26 July 2026 for Australia's most Northern Fringe Festival.

A dynamic showcase of the Top End's creative heartbeat art lovers, explorers, and culture seekers are encouraged to journey through the city and beyond as hundreds of creatives entertain and enlighten you over 10 days in the wonderful dry season, known as Dinidjanggama (heavy dew time) to the Larrakia people.

It's notoriously the best time of year to explore Darwin and surrounds (think 28 degree winter days). Is this your sign to finally take a risk on the Northern Territory for your mid year break? Perhaps it's a reminder of your last fantastic visit.. Just looking to escape winter and have a tropical getaway? We've got your sorted!

The program is generally 70% local with 70-100 shows presenting 140-170 unique experiences and events over the 10 days making it the best way to connect with the scaly underbelly of local creativity and culture. Artists presenting in Fringe showcase a wide range of stories and talents, it may be their first time on stage or their 50th.

With a Hub situated in the heart of Darwin you'll be in Creative Territory with the next adventure not far away. Darwin has an abundance of nature parks, outdoor experiences and opportunities to connect with Indigenous culture right on our doorstep.

A sustainability minded Festival, Fringe minimises our environmental footprint to maximise our community impact.
